Caramel Colour is a Beige to Dark Brown colour derived from sugar and gulucose.
It is a colloid. Although it is used for coloring, it is also used in soft drinks as an emulsifier as it helps in retarding the formation of certain types of "floc" and its light protective quality can aid in preventing oxidation of the flavoring components in bottled beverages.
Caramel Colour is used in chocolates, malt and cocoa based food supplements, colas, cakes, biscuits, confectionery , liquor and vinegar.
Out of the four types of Caramel Colour, we produce Type I, Type III and Type IV. |
